About This Course

This a course called Curves and Surfaces in Computer Graphics. The course aims at introducing the basic concepts of computer aided design of curves and surfaces, having two main branches:

the one is called spline surfaces, mainly applied in computer aided design and computer aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM),

the other branch is about subdivision surfaces, mainly applied in animation industry, animation movies, pc games and similar applications.

The course is not about a specific software. Beside theoretical principles, we will also have small programing tasks. Therefore I strongly hope that at the end of the course you will be familiar with the basic concepts of computer aided design of curves and surfaces, in theory and in practice.

Thank you for joining us.

prerequisites

Basic programming skills in C or C++ is required.
